A BLAZE FILM COURSE
SUBMISSION DEADLINE FEBRUARY 7TH
A group of filmmakers participate in a 3 month course, working together to create a feature film. The course culminates in the production of the film, which will be released on the big screen.
The course will be tutored by filmmakers John Connors and David Merriman. During the course we will have guest lecturers like Jim Sheridan and other industry professionals come in to work with the filmmakers.
Tutors
John Connors
John Connors is an award winning actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his work in the critically acclaimed Irish crime drama series Love/Hate, also for writing and starring in the box office hit Cardboard Gangsters and directing The Black Guelph which won best film and best actor and the prestigious Oldenburg International Film Festival.
David Merriman
David Merriman is a writer and director from Dublin, Ireland. He wrote and directed Re-Creation (2024) with Jim Sheridan. They continued their collaboration by writing ‘Kerry Babies,’ which David will Produce with Sheridan directing.
He has also worked with Aslan, Pillow Queens, Gilbert O'Sullivan and Glen Hansard.
